Chris Joyce Family

Chris Joyce Family

First of all let me say that some have expressed that they have had trouble posting on this site. I don't know what is wrong but if you have trouble please email me your post at makemeamemory@yahoo.com and I will see to it that it gets posted. Chris is having a rough week after his second round of chemo. He will be going to Baylor for testing and to get prepared for the stem cell transplant. There is still a long road ahead of us and we really appreciate all your prayers and love.

Praise the Lord Cody's room is looking so great! The guys have really done an excellent job on all of their work. The bathroom still has some work to go but Cody was able to move into his room this last weekend. I think he picked an awesome color and the floor looks fantastic. Thank you all for your time, donations and hard work helping this come about. Some of you may not realize but way back in January Chris and Cody started this room project and was going to try to get it done by Summer. So they had gutted out the bathroom and stripped out the carpeting. Then in April Chris was diagnosed with cancer so the room project was put on hold. It has meant so much to all of us. I can't tell how good it felt to see men working hard taking time away from their families to help get this done. We have been in awe from the compassion shown. Is this what it means to lay down your life for a brother? For Cody as a teenager I am sure it has made him feel so loved and important and I know he is watching God do a great work through all of Mandy and Chris'friends. I am sure this act of love and compassion will impact Cody's life forever. God is doing a mightly work in all of us through the compassion and love of His people. Words are just not enough to thank you all.

I am so thankful that Mandy and Chris have so many awesome friends and an awesome Christian family that is making sure they are not going through this alone. God Bless you All. Tammie (Mom)

Chris and Mandy,

I just wanted to say I love you both (and your awesome kids too of course), and Tommy and I are praying for you. Chris, I pray that the Lord would give strength and health to your body, courage and hope to your soul, and peace and joy in knowing that He is carrying you and will never forsake you. Blessings, guys.

Love,
Shelley
