Update on Allison

Allison’s Surgery
Thank you to every one for your thoughts and prayers today. Allison’s surgery went perfect and we are home from the hospital, pretty much back to normal! Allison is bouncing right back to her bubbly self! J She is only allowed to have clear liquids today, so she is anxious for some french fries, but she’s had five popsicles, so she’s fine.
I have to share with you one more sign of God ordering our steps. I was not very familiar with Allison’s Doctor, had only met him once before this surgery. When he came into the room before surgery, I had barely recognized him. He went over some things with me and then asked if we could pray together before surgery. He prayed for our family, for Allison and for God to guide his hands in the operating room. He prayed all of this in Jesus’ name. This doctor doesn’t even know us very well. I was so touched by this and my nervousness disappeared after this prayer. Isn’t God amazing!
She did have to have one stitch in her left eye and the doctor found a few small spots in her other eye that he went ahead and removed. She is doing great! Thanks for your prayers!
Chris has been very tired today… he slept a lot at the hospital and has been sleeping ever since we got home. Other than being tired, he is fine and we are still waiting to hear confirmation on his schedule for surgery next week.
Love to all!
Mandy
