Update on Chris... 11-24-06

We are finally home from the hospital! After a long day of waiting, Chris was finally released at about 3:00 this afternoon. After waiting for our ride and running a few errands, we made it home by about 7:00, I think. There were a few complications Thursday morning that required Chris to stay an extra day. He had a fever, but that was soon resolved by Tylenol. He also had low blood counts, so received two units of blood. It was hard to be in the hospital on Thanksgiving Day and we really missed the kids, but we made it through hand are happy to be home. Chris’ parents stayed with us for awhile this evening and made dinner. It was really nice to have a home cooked meal after all that hospital food! J
Having a few more days without the kids will allow me to get some things done, but coming home to an empty house made all of my emotions catch up to me. Please pray for me, for peace and refreshing. Chris is in a lot of pain, but his incision is healing very well. It is pretty big… 14 inches with 30 stitches, but the bone pain is already gone, now he is just having muscle and incision pain. Thanks for your continued prayers for his quick recovery and that he will regain full mobility of his left arm. He is scheduled to have a pet Scan on Monday to determine the next course of action.
Love,
Mandy
