Update on Chris 4-19-07
Chris had his CT Scan and doctors appointment at Baylor today. He was scheduled to have chemo this afternoon, but lab work showed his blood counts to be too low, so his chemo was rescheduled for next Thursday, April 26th. The good news is… the initial report from the CT Scan is that there has been no growth and possibly some shrinking in the liver tumors and nodes surrounding the liver. They will have to study them more to be precise, but the doctor was very happy with the initial findings. He says this is a good place to be after two months of treatments. We are awaiting AFP level results too.
Chris has continued to have some occasional nausea and he still has quite a bit of pain in his arm, but other than that, he has been doing pretty well this week. He doesn’t sleep hardly at all at night. For some reason, his days and nights seem to be mixed up. This has been frustrating in trying to get on a schedule. His blood pressure is doing a lot better and therapy continues. The PT has been in contact with the doctor and they have agreed on the safe parameters for his blood pressure. It seems to show a trend in our charting and the doctor said as long as it stays within that trend and always comes down after going up, then he can continue therapy.
Thank you for your continued prayers for Chris’ physical strength and endurance, as well as peace of mind and rest.
Love,
Mandy
