Update on Chris 4-27-07

Just a quick update and prayer request… Chris went in Thursday for his rescheduled chemo and was unable to have treatment cause his platelets were still too low. The doctor’s explanation is that his body has just been through so much that it is taking longer to recover between treatments. So, we are working on rescheduling for next week. They expect him to be ready by next week, but it has been a little frustrating to make that Baylor trip for “nothing”.

Other than that, he has felt pretty good most of the week. He picked the boys up from school one day and another day, he went in to his office at work for a meeting. He is still doing some work from home. He has been having therapy, but the schedule is always a mess cause of the Baylor visits. The Occupational Therapist spent some time training me on how to help Chris do the range of motion exercises with his arm, so he may only come out a few more times and then we’ll try to do it ourselves. Chris is also interested in doing outpatient physical therapy instead of the in home therapy, so we are looking into that.

Prayer request… Last night, Chris began to develop a sore throat and drainage. This may be no big deal, but needless to say, I’m a little worried. Cody and Justin have been having some kind of cold going on, so it is probably the same thing. He was running a low fever this evening. He started antibiotics today. Please pray that his body fights off whatever is going on and that he continues to get strong every day.
