Update on Chris

Update on Chris 10-24-06
Chris went to Baylor yesterday for his second treatment in the current chemo regimen. Chemo went well and other than some nausea, Chris is feeling well and went to work today. He also had some x-rays on the spot in his arm that we’ve been concerned about… don’t have those results yet. However, the doctor did consult with the Radiology Oncologist and they’ve decided that Chris cannot have radiation on this area, because one of the chemo drugs he is currently on is very sensitive to radiation. So, they will continue to monitor his arm and his pain level and consider radiation after the chemo is done and some time has passed. He also received AFP level results… it’s gone up from 13,000 to 15,000.
Good news is… Chris’ blood counts remain normal, which means he is tolerating this chemo well. So, the doctor has decided to add on a third treatment for next month. Also, the doctor gave him samples of a fourth sleeping medicine to try. We don’t know if Chris was just super tired last night or if that sample worked, but he slept great last night… maybe it’s your prayers! J Keep praying!
That’s all we know for now! I’ll keep you all posted, if we have any more news! Thank you all for your continued prayers and support!
Love ~ Mandy

Your testimony is a powerful reflection of God and His intentions for community.

I praise God each time I read of His hand on your health--and in your hearts.

Love in Him,
