Joyce family Update 2-7-07
Sorry if some of you get an update more than once today. It’s been a busy day! Chris had an amazing day at rehab! They brought him a schedule early this morning and worked him hard until about 2:00 pm, with only a few short breaks in between sessions. He stood up, with the assistance of a machine, for thirty minutes! He also got to go outside to sit in the sun for the first time in 41 days! This was especially nice for us. He has a lot of work to do, but they are confident that they will get him to the place he wants to be. They are excited about his determination and motivation. He worked real hard and completed every task given to him, to the very end. Praise God for this wonderful milestone!
On another note… Chris’ brother Patrick, wife Aundra and their 6 year old daughter Savanna were in a car accident this evening. They were rear ended and the parents were sent to a hospital in Lewisville, while Savanna was careflighted to Cook’s in Fort Worth. The latest I have heard is that Patrick and Aundra have been released from the hospital with some scrapes and bruises. Savanna’s hip dislocated and they were able to put her under sedation to put it back into place successfully. I believe the car is totaled and that the other driver was fine. Please pray for this sweet part of our family, that God would meet their every need during this time. And, we praise Him and give Him the glory for protecting them.
