Update on Chris 2-27-07
I have wonderful news to share today!!! Chris is now walking, on the floor, with a walker!!! This apparently actually started on Monday, but I was not there to see until today. They started him out on the parallel bars and he did that so easily that they decided to try the walker. The therapist told me that I should’ve seen the e-mails that were flying around about him yesterday! They were all calling him “Superstar”. I could tell by the way the therapists went on and on, that they were really impressed and excited about how far he has come.
His pool time was a little different today too. He is no longer requiring the lift chair to get into the pool. They parked his wheelchair at the top of the ramp and he walked himself right down the ramp, into the pool! Even better, he did all of this with no oxygen support! It was really amazing to see and I knew you would all share in our joy for this wonderful milestone.
