Update on Chris 1-24-07
Short update… Many improvements today… talking better, moving better, etc. Still not able to drink or eat, maybe in the next day or two. Doing well with physical therapy, but still frustrated that it’s not going fast enough.
Big praise… He was moved out of ICU today! His new room number is 452, on the same floor, 4th floor of Sammons Cancer Center. The room is much bigger and more comfortable for him and for us.
Big Prayer Need… His most recent blood draw shows that his AFP level has gone up from 1400 to 16,000. This means the cancer has been actively growing while he has been in the hospital. The doctor is planning to meet with us to discuss the treatment plan. God certainly hasn’t brought him out of this horrible pneumonia, if he didn’t have a big plan! So, we’re gonna trust Him. Chris was handling this news very well.
I may be calling on some guys to come sit with Chris over the weekend. The long days are getting a little hard on me and I am feeling like I should let some people help and as a friend said… let us minister to Chris too. He can tend to be fussy these days, so if you’re up for the challenge, let me know and I will set up shifts or something. Thank you for your help with this.
Love,
Mandy
